This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on Streatham campus and some from home.
This part-time post is available from 1 July 2024 on a permanent basis. Interviews are expected to take place on the 9th of July for this role.
Summary of the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a 0.6 FTE Programme Officer (Interdisciplinary Pathways) to join our Student Employability and Development team within the Career Zone and take lead responsibility for coordinating the flagship Grand Challenges programme.
The award-winning extra-curricular Grand Challenges programme involves a complex team of Professional Services and academic colleagues, student interns and postgraduates working together to deliver an innovative learning experience for students within an inclusive, supportive and creative environment.
The role will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of Grand Challenges delivery. This will involve co-creating the programme, developing and implementing a communication strategy, organisational and logistical administration for a programme of events, data collection and analysis, recruitment and training of student programme assistants and postgraduate facilitators and organising and overseeing their work.
The post holder will be working with multiple stakeholder groups including academics and senior leaders and will require a high level of coordination, delegation, collaboration and an ability to hold the dynamic process together, acting as a focal point.
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational, communication and IT skills who is able to deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal applicant would also have experience coordinating programmes and working with academic colleagues within a higher education environment.
