The Vice-President External Engagement (VPEE) team delivers communications and marketing activity for UCL, working to ensure UCL’s public prominence, reputation and influence reflects the university’s excellence in knowledge creation, education, and innovation.
We are recruiting an Events Officer to join our fantastic events team, where you will play an important part in delivering flagship events for UCL including open days, graduation, public lectures and high-level events for our influential stakeholders.
About the role
This role is offered as a Fixed Term Contract, ideally from the beginning of July 2024 - 23rd June 2025.
The role will support on organising a range of events including open days, conference, graduation, bespoke events including receptions, and VIP visits. You will support the whole process from the planning stage, administration, through to delivering the event and supporting post-event evaluation. this will involve arranging the venue, communicating to attendees, budget, staffing and on the day delivery, and more.
Our events team work on a hybrid basis, with the team working from our office in King's Cross on Tuesdays each week. Additionally, you will be required to attend in-person events as needed.
About you
We are looking for someone who has experience of providing administrative support and knows how to deliver great customer service to join our team. You’ll have great organisational skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to communicate with a variety of people from different backgrounds. You don’t have to have worked in a full time events role, but we’d like for you to have experience of organising or supporting events in a professional or voluntary capacity.
