The Study

The PhD student will be expected to attend the University (typically Wolverhampton City Campus and/or Walsall campus). This provides an exciting balance of colleagues to work with within a vibrant School of Nursing, and the Centre of Applied and Inclusive Health Research (CAIR), situated in the Faculty of Education, Health, and Wellbeing. CAIR aims to develop, promote, and inspire health research that is designed and delivered to address societal challenges and improve health outcomes through inclusive, world-class health research, and research-inspired teaching. This will provide PG teaching development and doctoral training, complementary to the PhD research (agreed in advance with the supervisory team). Primarily, the focus and main aim shall remain the successful completion of the PhD in the allotted timeframe. The study will develop and evaluate a programme investigating compassionate approaches to mitigating aggression in society. The intention is to mobilise new knowledge and approaches mitigating the risk potential for anger and aggression.
