Are you looking for a fulfilling career where you can inspire the next generation of vets, while maintaining clinical activity, and still have time for interesting research?
Following significant clinical salary restructuring, the Division of Small Animal Clinical Sciences is seeking to recruit a motivated neurology clinician.
The ideal candidate will have completed an ECVN or ACVIM (neurology) residency or hold an ECVN or ACVIM (neurology) diploma. Residency-trained colleagues due to sit exams will also be considered. The post offers an element of ‘off clinics’ time for research and scholarship (including exam study). The role will also involve the delivery of clinical teaching to undergraduates, interns and residents and the ability to work well with others in a collegial team atmosphere is essential.
The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team within our award-winning state-of-the-art Small Animal Hospital. The hospital is based on the beautiful Garscube estate, 10 minutes’ drive from the vibrant “West End” of Glasgow and less than one hour from Loch Lomond. Our facilities include on-site 1.5T MRI, CT, C-arm fluoroscopy, ultrasonic aspirator, electrodiagnostic machine, a linear accelerator and radio-iodine unit. We have a dedicated ICU and excellent in-house laboratory. Our ‘One Hospital’ team ethos ensures exceptional clinical care can be delivered to our patients, and supports the continual professional development of our vets, nurses and support staff.
The School of Biodiversity, One Health and Veterinary Medicine has an excellent international reputation in teaching, clinical services and research and is accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), the European Association of Establishments of Veterinary Education (EAEVE) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
The post is full time and open ended.
