Are you an enthusiastic academic, committed to delivering a first class learning and teaching experience with a proven ability to teach effectively at undergraduate and postgraduate level? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a research-intensive Russell Group University? Do you want to develop and further your skills in online teaching and learning and digital education?
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has an interest in Statistics and Data Science, to join the Department of Statistics within the School of Mathematics and/or the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics (LIDA). This role is part of a strategic investment by the University to develop online distance-learning postgraduate programmes in statistics and data science. Also, you will be expected to take an active role in the development of our curriculum, aligning with the Institutional-led Curriculum Redefined principles and practices, and in particular to support the development and delivery of online teaching.
With a PhD, or equivalent experience, in Statistics or Computing, or a closely related discipline such as Mathematics, you will have a demonstrable ability to teach Statistics or Data Science. You will have an enthusiastic and innovative approach to all aspects of student education, good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to use technology effectively and innovatively in the preparation and delivery of blended learning material.
