Who we’re looking for:
A qualified accountant ideally with experience working in the Higher Education sector. You will have strong analytical skills to effectively analyse financial reports, and an in-depth knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting. You will also have strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with a commitment and ability to deliver results within a timely fashion, adhering to deadlines. Ideally you will have experience of business partnering, and experience of working in the Higher Education sector is desirable.

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Finance department. This role involves the management of the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems. The Financial Controller ensures the company's financial strength and efficiency, focusing on long-term financial strategy, budget management, and financial reporting.

In this role, you’ll be based in the Finance team, on our green campus in the north of Plymouth.
Our current hybrid working policy means you can work from home or on campus, but you will need to maintain strong campus links and will be expected to work onsite at least 3 days per week, with flexibility to attend on other days as required.
