About Lancaster

In the top 15 in all United Kingdom league tables, and the Times and Sunday Times International University of the Year in 2020, Lancaster University has established itself as a world player in research and teaching.  Students from over one hundred countries make up a thriving community based on a beautiful parkland campus.

About the Role

Your mission will be to strengthen our positioning as a ‘go-to’ university. You will spearhead the elevation of our academic reputation by crafting a strategy to engage stakeholders, opinion-shapers, and partners around the world.

Leading the evolution of our international narrative, you will communicate our strengths in ways that build new audiences and foster international collaborations.

In this pivotal role, you will be a connecting force, collaborating across professional services and academic departments to maximise reputational gain in teaching and research. Your efforts will leverage our reputation in all we do overseas, from events and conferences to digital communications and social media.

We have an exciting story to tell. Our community of academics lead the way in their fields – their research was rated as world-leading in the 2021 Research Excellence Framework. One-third of our students study at a strategic partnership campus in either China, Ghana, Germany, Indonesia, or Malaysia – making us a leader in transnational education.

Joining the Team

The Global Engagement team’s portfolio includes partnership management, international reputation, student mobility, and strategic partnership engagement. You will find lots of additional information on our Global Partnerships webpages and Global Experiences webpages.

Lancaster encourages hybrid working options for our workforce offering flexibility with a blend of working remotely and on campus.

This role is offered on an indefinite contract.
