The Post
Following the growing success of our Learning and Development activities for widening access and widening participation, supported by Scotland’s Community of Access and Participation Practitioners (SCAPP), we have an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Development Coordinator. The post will be hosted by the University of Stirling.
This position will be fixed term until July 2025 in the first instance but may continue subject to ongoing funding.
The Learning and Development role supports the SFC investment already made in Scotland's Framework for Fair Access and builds the capacity required, alongside other measures, to further develop the professionalisation of the widening access and participation practitioner community.
In your role of Learning and Development Coordinator within SCAPP you will continue to take forward and grow the development of professional development and learning opportunities for the widening access and widening participation professional community.
You will report to the SCAPP Development Manager and work closely with the Learning and Development Working Group to further develop and shape a range of learning, development, training and CPD opportunities and events for the widening access and widening participation practitioner community.
You will bring experience of negotiating, developing and delivering targeted activities which cater for the interests and needs of the widening access and widening participation community. You will bring enthusiasm, creativity and have excellent organisational and communication skills, and with a flexible and proactive approach to your work. You will have demonstrable experience of partnership building with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work autonomously.
The post is hosted at the University of Stirling and you will benefit from the flexibility of their Agile Working Framework, which enables you to operate a hybrid approach to working.
