JOB DECRIPTION
We are seeking a Lecturer in Conservation and Environment to design and deliver teaching content in the classroom and field, across a range of modules in various Programmes with the Biology Subject area, with particular emphasis on environmental issues, conservation, and other topics relevant to Environmental Science. This role will also contribute to curriculum planning and development, and engagement in research and scholarly activity.
About the Role
The post holder will be expected to contribute to undergraduate teaching across levels 4-6 in BSc Biology, Environmental Science and Wildlife Conservation; particularly in areas related to biodiversity, ecology, conservation, and environmental management and practice. There will be associated module administration such as assessment, marking and feedback. The role also involves acting as an Academic Advisor to undergraduate students and supervising final year Dissertation projects. There will also be involvement in the promotion and marketing of the courses within the Subject.
About You
We are looking for someone with recent, successful experience of university teaching in core areas of Environmental Science, who understands the importance of providing students with an excellent learning experience throughout their studies. Ideally this would include experience of leading modules and developing the curriculum within them. We would be particularly interested in candidates who have experience of working with external partners on student projects.
