This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Physics at the University of Warwick.
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Research Technician to work in the Superconductivity and Magnetism research group, supporting their on-going research and taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of the research laboratories and associated spaces.
The role will involve working with academics, researchers, PhD students and technical staff. Duties will include the day-to-day running, maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment used for research, including vacuum pumps, furnaces, and low-temperature apparatus.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and operation of the Departmental helium liquefier.
The focus of these activities is within the Superconductivity and Magnetism group; however, duties may span across other areas of the condensed matter research cluster.
