An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Bury College Estates / Facilities Team as a Site Officer (Estates / Facilities Supervisor).

We are looking for individuals who want to be part of an Estates / Facilities team, whilst also leading and supervising a team of Site Assistants (Caretakers) to provide a high quality and responsive estates service across the entire College Estate.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have previous experience of supervising and leading a team
  • Can ensure the College Estate is safe and accessible to all learners and staff
  • Have a proactive approach to Estates maintenance
  • Can identify and organise maintenance work whilst working with the wider Estates team
  • Promote a safe and pleasant working environment across the College
  • Will be responsible for Key-holding, maintenance, compliance, repair, refurbishment, and porterage duties
  • Will be the first point of contact for staff, students, external contractors, and the general public

As an ideal candidate, you will ideally have experience in an Estates / Facilities role, you will hold at least a NVQ level 2 qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject and have good general DIY skills with an enthusiastic and proactive approach to your work.
