Job summary

Imperial College London is seeking a motivated individual to join our Postgraduate Education Team in the Faculty of Medicine. This hybrid position offers a unique opportunity to work both on campus and remotely, with three days on-site and two days working from home each week.

Duties and responsibilities

As the Postgraduate Education Administrator, you will play a key role in managing our prestigious On-Campus Summer School: Revolutions in Biomedicine. This 3-week intensive course, held in July, attracts a diverse group of 50-70 students eager to explore the latest advances in biomedicine.

In addition to the Summer School, you will support a variety of postgraduate education activities, working closely with academic leads and the Postgraduate Education Manager. You will also lead the Faculty Postgraduate Taught Staff-Student Liaison Committee and organise both online and in-person events for our postgraduate community.

Essential requirements

  • Educational Background: Degree level education or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Operational Knowledge: Strong understanding of some areas related to this role.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Professionalism: Diplomatic and tactful, able to handle complex situations effectively.

Further information

This is a full time, open-ended contract based at South Kensington Campus with travel expected to other campuses.

The Postgraduate Education Team work across a wide variety of projects and processes which the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in. The post holder will be located at the South Kensington Campus, but will work on other campuses on occasions, as the Faculty Education Office has staff based across four campuses.
