About us

This post sits in the UCL Global Business School for Health (GBSH), but is part of the Faculty of Population Health Sciences Education Administration and Student experience (EASE) team. The UCL Global Business School for Health is integral to UCL’s academic strategy and forms part of the UCL East development in Stratford. It provides the opportunity for UCL to help create and support a cadre of leading professionals with skillset to meet the challenges of healthcare delivery and improved population health on a global scale in the 21st century.

About the role

You will work closely with academic and professional services staff to design and develop high quality online learning content and experiences. You will be an advocate for the use of current and emerging digital educational technologies, providing guidance and training to all staff involved on their use for course development and delivery. You will also work closely with the UCL Arena Centre and UCL Digital Education, to ensure that staff receive coordinated and consistent support and guidance. You will contribute to the development and implementation of other digital education platforms and strategies across the Faculty, whilst engaging with shared Digital Education college-wide initiatives.

You will be a digital education specialist with an understanding of teaching and learning processes and associated software platforms. You will have multimedia production skills, including video and graphic design editing, as well as content development with learning management systems and e-authoring tools. You will also have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders when it comes to digital learning design and development.

You will primarily provide support to the teaching and learning activities of the GBSH degrees and short courses, but you will also be expected to work collaboratively with teaching staff and on programmes across the Faculty.

About you

  • Experience working in an academic environment to support with teaching and learning processes
  • Previous experience in training and sharing of technical knowledge
  • Experience working closely with key stakeholders to design and deliver high quality content.
  • Ability to supervise and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to liaise with stakeholders at different levels
  • A proven ability to adapt, be proactive, work well under pressure and meet deadlines with a commitment to high quality service provision.
