About the role

We are recruiting for two Education Coordinators to work in the Student Experience and Programme Governance Team supporting UCL’s Undergraduate Medicine programme (MBBS). This programme aims to qualify distinctive ‘UCL Doctors’ – highly capable, and patient-centred clinicians, equipped to practise medicine in a professional, inclusive, and sustainable way, grounded in science and best practice.

The first is a permanent post coordinating MBBS Student Support and Records, which encompasses personal tutoring, regulatory requirements for clinical placements, supporting professionalism and Fitness to Practise processes, and managing student records and transcripts of academic and clinical study.

The second is a twelve-month secondment managing admissions to UG Medicine, which includes selection processes and interviews for new entrants to Year 1, application and allocation of UCL medical students to Intercalated BSc (IBSc) programmes, admission and allocation processes for international students to IBSc programmes, admission of MBPhD student transfers to Year 4, and admission of overseas medical students to visiting electives placements. This post works closely with the MBBS Admissions Tutor and line-manages our Admissions Administrator.

Both posts liaise with students and a wide network of Professional Services and Academic staff across UCL and its partner NHS Trusts, Primary Care and Specialist Providers.

Appointment details:

  • The post is graded at GRADE 7, the annual salary for which ranges from £42,099 to £50,585 (including London Allowance).
  • These appointments are available from July 2024.
  • MBBS Student Support and Records Coordinator is permanent.
  • MBBS Admissions Coordinator (Maternity Cover) is fixed term until the return of the substantive post holder.
