Are you passionate about supporting young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)? We have a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in helping young people with SEND take their final steps towards adulthood and their future career.
If you have had some experience in working with, SEND previously, this is a chance to join a dynamic and developing Team, shaping a unique learning support provision within a mainstream FE (Further Education) environment.
What skills are we looking for:
· Organizational skills – From working supporting learners in class, to meeting 1:1 with your caseload, and keeping with administrative tasks, you will need to organize your workload appropriately.
· People skills/ Communication – Working with Curriculum Colleagues, parents, carers and external professionals, you will need to communicate with people from all areas and walks of life effectively.
· A good level of SEND knowledge – Working as an advocate for your students, you will need a good level of knowledge to provide advice and guidance to all staff working with the young person, so that the learner’s needs are fully met.
Responsibilities for the role:
· To monitor the progress of the identified student caseload through the keeping of records and monitoring information as required.
· To assist in the delivery of annual reviews if necessary, leading the co-ordination of the review and the pre- review activities
· To work individually with a case load of learners where necessary to liaise with external agencies and parents.
· Plan and deliver engaging and effective campaigns
· Create outstanding content to support our customers journey
