This role will be based on the university campus and across care homes, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Do you have a passion for bridging the gap between research and practice to make a difference to people’s lives? Do you want to work with world-leading professors and senior researchers in applied health and care and create the impact and engagement needed to benefit older people living in care homes?
The School of Healthcare invites applications for an impact and engagement position. The role is central to our plans to strengthen and sustain our impact and grow engagement with our pioneering research enhancing quality in care homes. We work in partnership with long-term care (LTC) organisations (NICHE-Leeds). We want an individual who can ensure research outputs and translated knowledge reach the right people, at the right time, in ways that are meaningful and accessible. The role is a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between research and practice, increase engagement with research and impact change in long term care.
Focussing on research impact and engagement, you will be an integral member of our research teams. You will help disseminate research and activities to generate impact from our care home research. You will also contribute to thinking about and writing the “impact” requirements of grants, helping secure the funds we need to conduct our internationally recognised research.
We recognise that the skills needed mean that your background might include knowledge and experience in areas such as marketing, business, social sciences as well as health and social care. Accordingly, you will have a post-graduate degree in a relevant health and social care subject area and experience of innovative impact and engagement activities. You will understand and be able to apply evidence and theory-based methods and strategies to promote uptake of research evidence into practice.
