About the role
The post holder is responsible for managing the team delivering all front-line customer services at the UCL East Library and is the line manager for two Senior Library Assistants and daytime Library Assistants. They will contribute to help point and enquiry services, including evening and weekend cover as required. They will participate in on-site support for taught academic programmes at the campus, including delivering inductions and contributing to library skills training for UCL students. They will deputise for the Library Manager in their absence.
The post holder will deputise for the Library Manager in their absence.
This is an on-campus role. It is not suitable for regular remote working.

About you
We are seeking someone who is excited about the opportunity to try new ideas and contribute to the development of excellent customer-focused library services within the new campus. You will have experience of receiving and responding to a wide range of enquiries, as well as designing and delivering library skills training using online resources. You will have the ability to form effective working relationships as a manager and as part of a team, be a clear communicator, and be able to manage a varied workload to agreed deadlines.
