We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor for 12 months for maternity leave cover. The role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to manage and develop, delivering and coordinating modules in the field of data driven decision making, and/or quality engineering. The successful candidate will have academic interest and practical experience in the general area of data driven decision making, and/or quality engineering. They will lead and contribute to our modules in this space as and when programmes require. There is an existing team of associate tutors who deliver for WMG in this space, the successful candidate will provide leadership and associated administrative support to enable this team.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
About You
You will hold a doctorate, or equivalent professional qualification alongside a postgraduate degree, and have experience of teaching in a higher education context.
This is an education focussed appointment and we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate experience of teaching in higher education and a passion for impactful education and positive student outcomes. Candidates with a track record in research outputs but limited educational experience are unlikely to be shortlisted for this role. The programmes are predominantly postgraduate or post experience, professional experience will be looked on favourably.
