We are looking for an experienced fire science/engineering experimental researcher to assist in the delivery of a fixed term research project on the fire safety of external wall construction.
The Opportunity:
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a highly topical research area as part of a group that has a strong track record of working on the fire safety challenges associated with composite materials. The project involves large (1 m) scale testing of composite material system subjected to fire conditions. This requires design of a testing apparatus and development of tools to support the tests, and the interpretation of test outcomes. The successful candidates will become part of the Edinburgh Fire Research Centre at the University of Edinburgh. The successful candidate will work primarily with Prof. Rory Hadden and the external partner, Dstl, to deliver this exciting research programme.
