The research group of Professor Luning Liu (www.luningliu.org) is looking for an experienced Postdoctoral Research Associate to lead a BBSRC funded project to develop genetic constructs of *Salmonella* and real-time super-resolution fluorescence imaging to image *in vivo* assembly, life cycle, and subcellular localisation of bacterial microcompartments for ethanolamine (EA) and 1,2-propanediol (PD) metabolism. You will have the opportunity to develop interdisciplinary skills in molecular biology, biochemistry, synthetic biology, and cell physiology, and to be involved in world-class research and networking on understanding the formation and bioengineering of protein organelles for biotechnological and biomedical applications.
You should have a PhD degree in microbiology/molecular biology and experience of live-cell fluorescence imaging.
This is a fixed term post available until 30th June 2027.
If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
