Background
The School of Chemistry at the University of Birmingham is a vibrant and thriving academic community, with over 100 academic and research staff, 20 professional services staff and over 600 students. The Scanlon Materials Theory Group (SMTG) is led by Professor David O. Scanlon. We are seeking to recruit a Research Fellow in Computational Screening of Wide Band Gap Conducting Oxides, who will computationally explore new semiconducting oxides for transparent conducting oxide and power electronics applications. The position is funded by the project “PRAETORIAN”, an ERC Consolidator grant that has been underwritten by UKRI, and is available for a maximum of 3.5 years, through to the end of the project in August 2028.
