You will be committed to delivering the highest quality research, teaching, and innovative education, and have an open, collaborative and inclusive approach to academia and research culture.
A substantial and exciting aspect of this academic role is to further promote interactions and new research collaborations between the Department of Biosciences and Cefas, an Executive Agency of the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) working closely in this endeavour with one of our senior academics, Prof Charles Tyler, current Director (UoE) of the Collaborative Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture Futures (SAF).You will have the formal role as Deputy Director (UoE) of SAF to maintain and further develop active interactions between colleagues at Exeter and Cefas. There is also an expectation for the postholder to spend some of their time at Cefas Laboratory in Weymouth, Dorset and, an opportunity to interact with the wider organisation here and at their other premises.
