The successful candidate will get to apply their commercial, technical, project management and creative skills on a daily basis to a cutting edge innovative project that will shape the future of business operations, including project management, in professional service firms in construction.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a postgraduate/doctoral degree in in Business Analytics, Operations, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Management or a closely related subject. The post holder will lead a cutting edge innovation project that will develop an AI and business analytics capability to enhance business operations within the context of a professional service firm, focusing on operational project management and business development. Based at SRC Infrastructure, a project delivery and engineering consultancy specialising in the development of infrastructure projects, the KTP Associate will coordinate the development of this project from the beginning to the end, and engage with industry stakeholders to establish himself/herself as a thought leader in the field of leading professional service firms deliver infrastructure projects effectively and efficiently using business analytics/AI.
The objectives of the project are:
1: Operational Efficiency Improvement - targeting the development of the project management office (PMO), centralised data management, and workflow standardisation.
2: Business Development Enhancement - enhance proposal crafting process, highlight SRC's strengths, and fine-tune strategies to increase the firm's success rate in securing projects.
3: Performance Enhancement in Project Delivery - monitoring and enhancing project performance, detecting non-compliances, automating report writing processes, reducing redundancy and repetitiveness within the firm's project delivery processes.
Plus, the successful candidate will be part of the prestigious 48-year-old national Knowledge Transfer Partnership programme offering a dedicated professional development budget, a network of fellow Associates from many disciplines and training and mentoring opportunities. The Associate will also have the opportunity to write publications about their work alongside the academic and company team.
About you
Strong communication skills, a collaborative and self-motivated attitude, and good project management skills will ensure the KTP Associate fully enjoys the benefits of their unique position at the interface between industry and academia. A background Business Analytics, Operations, Business Management, Industrial Engineering and Project Management, will enable the post-holder to take charge of this project.
