We are now looking for a Lecturer in Digital Animation to be based in Swansea but will be focused on delivery at a partner institution in China. This role will be on a full-time basis for a fixed term period of 2 years.

THE ROLE

The post of Lecturer in Digital Animation will be located within the Wales Institute of Science and Art (WISA) but will be focused on delivery at our partner institutions, in China. It is envisaged that the post holder will have to spend a significant proportion of their work time in China – where all teaching will be delivered in English. Some work will be required in the UK and this can be a blend of Online and face to face. Staff training will be given to ensure our Chinese students benefit from the latest UK educational materials and methods. There will also be training on the pedagogical perspectives of the Chinese learner.  

The post holder will be under the line management of the Assistant Dean of the Wales Institute of Science and Art, but for operational daily duties will work under with Faculty staff in China.

ABOUT YOU 

To be considered as a Lecturer in Digital Animation, you will need:

• An honours degree in a relevant discipline
• Evidence of the ability to deliver teaching, assessment and student support at undergraduate level in the subject areas.
• Demonstrable ongoing commitment to professional enhancement, scholarship and / or research and project work
• Good organisational and personal management skills to balance competing pressures of teaching, scholarship, research, administrative demands, and deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop international relationships.
• IT proficiency and experience of using e-resources including a willingness to teach by video-link, VLE, e-mail or website delivery
• Demonstrable commitment to team working.
• Willingness to work flexibly to meet role requirements – particularly for long periods in China.
