About the role:
The Section of Paediatric Infectious Disease at Imperial College London is seeking to recruit at least one enthusiastic Research Assistant to join our Bioinformatics team working on host pathogen interactions in infectious disease, multi-omic integration and biomarker identification, with a focus on tuberculosis disease and the role of age and sex on host immunology and biosignatures.
What you would be doing:
You will be performing cutting edge research utilising statistical and machine learning models to contribute to the advancement of understanding and diagnosis of tuberculosis disease. You will develop the data science and machine learning expertise to analyse whole blood RNAseq, gene expression microarray, proteomic and imaging datasets, and develop methods for mining and integration of multiple host-omics data by using one of the larger collections of clinical RNA-Seq and other modalities data in paediatric TB research in the world.
