The role
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to use infectious disease modelling to investigate the post-exposure vaccination to control Hepatitis A outbreaks in England. The postholder will work under the direction of senior researchers to review and manage data, conduct literature searches and run existing infectious disease models.
What will you be doing?
You will fully support core essential functions and assists in support of specialist/more complex activities for laboratory or a designated suite of laboratories. Typical duties would include: Carrying out experimental techniques, and recording data outputs, operating, servicing, maintenance and calibration of research equipment, recognise and resolve problems, including complex issues, e.g. fault diagnosis, process improvement.
You should apply if
You should apply if you have experience of working in a technical laboratory to include laboratory techniques, process improvement and problem solving. You will have excellent IT skills, and an ability to effectively use new software or IT systems when required. You will also possess excellent organisational skills, with the ability to deal with and prioritise a range of ongoing tasks at the same time, and to be able to cope under pressure.
