This is a full-time post (although part-time may be considered depending on experience and availability) for a Postdoctoral Research Associate with qualitative research experience. You will join the Dental Public Health Team led by Professor Rebecca Harris and primarily will assist with the analysis and reporting of a dataset collected from participants of a randomised controlled trial conducted in primary care dental settings. The trial tested a brief behaviour change intervention aimed at promoting routine dental visiting, and the data you will be analysing was collected from participants at 6-, 12- and 18-months post-recruitment into the trial. You will also assist with the reporting of other trial data, as well as contribute to the planning and delivery of research dissemination activities. There is opportunity for variation within this role, with the primary focus on the qualitative data analysis. You should have an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as Sociology, and a PhD or equivalent, with research experience in qualitative data analysis. You should have ability to be an independent researcher able to lead, analyse and report qualitative research to the level of internationally excellent peer reviewed publications. The post is available until 30 April 2025.
If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
