This post is full time and fixed term for 2.5 years, working 35 hours per week.
We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to work with the Director of IHUL to lead the Institute and to ensure financial sustainability, the building of strong and meaningful networks, impactful outputs, value to a range of stakeholders and a focus on the most important health and social challenges found in cities around the world.
The IHUL is a new cross University entity that will span the full range of academic activities within the University of Westminster. The Institute is outward facing and while it conducts transdisciplinary research it will also focus on engagement with industry sectors, community groups and the delivery of short courses and CPD. It has a particular interest in health imnequalities in the urban environment.
The Associate Director will oversee the daily running of the Institute including financial management, external relations and delivery of short courses. Building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders is at the core of the Institute’s function and high level communication skills will be required.
Candidates are expected to be educated to post graduate degree level in a life sciences / health / public health area or equivalent substantial experience, skill and knowledge and to hold a business management or similar qualification or similar professional qualification or equivalent practical experience that demonstrates relevant levels of knowledge and skills.
