This is an inspiring opportunity for a strategic leader with a passion for lifelong learning and expertise in programme management campaigning or research to join our innovative organisation.
The Role
As our Head of Programme, you will lead high-profile campaigns, research and development work that advocates for adult learning and essential skills.
Focusing on delivering impactful initiatives that align with our strategic plan, you will make the case for lifelong learning entitlements, addressing learning participation inequalities and building evidence on engaging individuals in essential skills.
You will design and lead campaigns and research and development programmes, secure funding through proactive engagement with funders and partners and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable impact.
Additionally, you will:
- Manage Researchers and Project Managers, contributing to their personal and professional development
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Present at external events
- Stay informed on relevant policy and research developments
About You
To be considered as our Head of Programme, you will need:
- Experience delivering complex and high-profile programmes of campaigns, research or development work
- Experience building relationships with government, delivery organisations, partners and funders
- Experience developing and leading a high-performing team
- An understanding of current policy and practice in relation to learning and skills
- An understanding of campaigning and advocacy work
- An understanding of quantitative and/or qualitative research methods and how research evidence can be used to influence policy
- A degree or equivalent in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
Please note, occasional travel and overnight stays will be required.
The successful candidate may be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
