Our estate and facilities are wide ranging, including modern and sustainable developments, state-of-the-art healthcare simulation suites, lecture theatres, operating theatres, forensics labs, music labs, green screen studios to music studios, and so much more. We are proud of our 65-acre sports campus, Chapel Gate, which is at the core of local sporting activity and home to eight community clubs, with 3,000+ visitors each week. We are seeking an exceptional and strategic leader, aligned to our values, to champion, lead and enable the achievement of our strategic plan, through the leadership, development and provision of an ambitious and successful service and high-performing Estates team.
You will possess substantial relevant experience at a senior level of leading a complex property portfolio and delivering large scale capital programmes in a medium/large organisation. Your experience in providing leadership in the sustainability and carbon reduction agendas will be critical. You will have experience of change management and a proven track record in developing, articulating and delivering estates strategies which have had a positive impact, and of inspiring, developing and motivating a diverse team.
As a member of the University’s Leadership Team you will participate fully in the management of BU, influencing and contributing to the achievement of our strategic plan. You will provide senior level, expert and influential estates and capital development advice across the University, including up to and at Board level, and lead, develop and provide high-quality services that support an excellent student and staff experience.
