The University of Plymouth is looking for a Senior IT Supplier Manager to lead the IT Supplier Management team within the Technology & Information Services directorate.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a core part of the team providing centralised IT Services to the University through a large network of third-party suppliers, using your knowledge and expertise to drive continuous improvement and maximise value from our supply chain.
The Technology and Information Services Directorate provides the central IT Service for the University of Plymouth, covering IT infrastructure, email, collaboration tools, academic applications, Audio Visual services and critical line of business applications. We partner with a host of local, national and international organisations to provide Technology Services to our staff, students and research community.
The Senior IT Supplier Manager will be responsible for building relationships with our key suppliers and owning the Supplier Management process for IT, making sure that the procedures followed are fit for purpose and are optimised for efficiency. You will engage with colleagues across the directorate to integrate the Supplier Management process and maximise opportunities to leverage value from third party engagement.
You will manage the team responsible for the procurement, renewal and administration of third-party contracts, and will work closely with the Procurement team within the University to ensure that the University obtains best value from the contracts it has with third party IT and Technology Suppliers.
You will require a background in IT and Supplier Management, including some leadership experience, preferably within the Public Sector.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 37 hours a week.
Remote working is availble up to 3 days a week.
