Background
The Department of Computer Science has over 700 undergraduate students and over 300 masters and more than 60 doctoral research students. It has over 50 academic members of staff. The Department has a long tradition of excellence in research and education and continuously improves the content of its programmes.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a creative and experienced senior lecturer to join the department’s executive committee. You'll be instrumental in our student success and engagement. As part of this role, you'll lead educational initiatives, enhance and expand our education profile, and develop and lead initiatives to deliver improved performance. Additionally, you'll lead student recruitment efforts, deliver high-quality teaching, and mentor students. Join us and contribute to shaping the future of Computer Science education.
Person Specification
We're looking for a qualified candidate with a PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field and an established research profile along with a strong track record of leadership. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of teaching students in Computer Science and related fields, as well as experience in leading quality review activities. Participation in Quality Assurance activities and a commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives are also key qualifications.
