Professional Tutor in Counselling and Psychotherapy: ILG Facilitator

We are looking for Professional Tutors to serve as Interpersonal Learning Group (ILG) Facilitators for postgraduate students on the professional programmes in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

The Opportunity:

You will offer weekly group facilitation to promote student personal and professional development on the Counselling and Psychotherapy Programmes. You will have 10 to 15 students in your group. The group meets weekly for 75 minutes for 25 weeks per year, September to May, on Monday afternoons, and this is a two year commitment. You will be paid for the group time with students, debrief meetings with other group facilitators and meetings with core tutors, and in addition for preparation and reflection, supervision of your group facilitation work, and professional scholarship and development relating to the role. Your skills and attributes for success:

• You will be a qualified practitioner in Counselling and Psychotherapy, holding professional accreditation with a relevant Counselling and Psychotherapy professional body (COSCA, BACP, UKCP or equivalent) or eligibility to apply for accreditation
• You will have a professional qualification in Counselling and Psychotherapy, with a specialism in the person-centred approach, in psychodynamic perspectives or in the dialogue between them
• You will have experience in facilitating professional development, learning or supervision groups in the field of Counselling and Psychotherapy
• You will be able to take responsibility for organising your own activities
• You will have the ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team
