The Learning team at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is looking for a School Partnerships Development Officer to join the team. This is a part-time permanent contract working 28 hours per week between Monday and Friday.
Reporting to the Primary Education Manager, you will develop and support the adaptation of a new Schools Hub structure for the Learning team, developing embedded programmes with a small number of key strategic partner schools.
To be successful in this role you will be educated to degree level of an appropriate subject area, and hold a PGCE or have equivalent professional experience of working in schools. You will have a proven ability to understand, inspire, communicate and empathise with people of all ages, across full range of abilities, social and cultural backgrounds.
You will have a strong understanding of how schools work, be comfortable liaising and planning with teachers at all levels, and enjoy interacting with young people in school settings. You will be passionate about the potential for Creative and Heritage education, and ideally hold a strong interest in the works, life and times of Shakespeare.
You will work closely with colleagues in the Learning team, but also with colleagues across the Trust, to ensure that schools and young people have full access to our inspiring Shakespeare properties and education programmes.
The closing date for applications is Sunday 29 September 2024 and interviews will take place on Thursday 10 October 2024.
