Green Futures Solutions is a flagship initiative at the heart of the University of Exeter 2030 Strategy designed to drive maximum impact from our world-leading environmental research and deliver positive outcomes for climate, nature and business.
Launching in Summer 2023, Green Futures Solutions is instrumental to maximising our already comprehensive research impact in a way that is responsive and adaptive to business and external demand.
The University is seeking to build its team of Impact-focused staff to drive and grow this positive change. You will come either from a business/policy/practitioner or applied research background, and embrace and ethos of excellence, integrity, collaboration and have strong passion to deliver solutions from our science and research. A flexible, dynamic, commercial and positive, team-playing mindset is essential.
You will play a key role in delivering integrated solutions to non-academic clients, driving business demand, and identifying opportunities for service growth and partnership. You will lead in the develop of both bespoke and “off-the-shelf” solutions for external clients and will work as part of a matrix transdisciplinary team, with colleagues in various academic disciplines and those based within the University’s Exeter Innovation directorate.
We’re looking for a Circular Economy lead: one full-time Green Futures Solutions Impact Fellow based within the Exeter Centre for Circular Economy, within our Business School and working closely with Professor Fiona Charnley (Professor of Circular Innovation and Co-Director Exeter Centre for the Circular Economy) and colleagues across the Centre, Business School and associate programmes and projects.
The postholder will work closely with several other specialist impact fellows leading in areas such as life cycle analysis, earth systems, climate systems and nature-based solutions and Green Futures Solutions staff based in Exeter Innovation.
We are willing to consider remote, hybrid and flexible working options. Periodic on-campus working and willingness to work across University campuses where business need demands will be required.
