About the Role
This is a part-time, fixed-term role: 14.8 hours per week until 31 August 2025.
We are looking for a teacher/assessor to join our team; the successful candidate will deliver off-the-job training to our apprentices, fully delivered remotely. This role is a part-time, fully remote position. A significant proportion of our apprentices are employed in the animal science sector, industry experience within this field is an advantage.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality and engaging sessions, ensuring they meet the needs of the apprenticeship standard and the qualification. You will also assess learners and keep up-to-date assessment records.
The School of Animal Care and Land Management is a growing and aspirational department based at Temple Newsam in Leeds. Our team consists of a Head of Department, Deputy Head, Programme managers, Teachers, learning support assistants (LSA), pastoral coach, and Instructor/Technician. Our team works to support our learners in achieving their full potential and vocational qualifications or apprenticeships.
What You Will Do
About You
You should be qualified to a level 3 or above with a recognised qualification. Experience within the animal science sector and experience delivering/assessing apprentices is a distinct advantage. As this role is a fully remote position candidates should have strong digital skills to allow them to be successful in this position.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about their subject and has a demonstrable commitment to using their expertise to create an excellent teaching and learning experience for our learners.
You don't need to be a qualified teacher or assess, we will support you in achieving the necessary qualifications.
