Role Summary
Here at the University of Birmingham we are establishing a new Data and Analytics Team to support the delivery of the University’s Data Strategy, situated within the Strategic Planning and Performance Insight Office and part of the wider Executive Support Division.
Within this team we have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Data & Analytics Developer. Reporting to the Data Strategy Lead, you will work in close partnership with colleagues across the department and IT Services.
You will play an integral part in influencing and supporting the implementation of the Institutional Data Strategy. This will include supporting our user community through the establishment of a Centre for Excellence, Communities of Practice and training as we embed Power BI as our institutional reporting tool. You will also support the implementation of a new reporting framework, encompassing data models, data dictionary and reporting standards within the Power BI environment.
Person Specification
You will have extensive experience of Power BI. You will be familiar with business intelligence and data analytics with knowledge of Power BI implementation, data integration, data warehousing, modelling and presentation concepts.
