About the role

The University of Leicester is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic as a Professor of Artificial Intelligence in Business Education. You will provide leadership within the University of Leicester School of Business (ULSB) on the application of artificial intelligence techniques and how business students can best to prepared to use them in the workplace. You will provide the strategic knowledge and leadership to bring these techniques into all aspects of the curriculum across ULSB and contribute to the design and development of new cutting-edge programmes focussing on the use of AI in business.

This post is offered on either a Teaching Focused or in Professional Practice career pathway.

This area of expertise of the post can be any area that fits within the expertise of the ULSB and will be identified with the successful candidate on appointment.

About you

We are looking for an academic with extensive experience of combining AI with its practical application in a business or business education setting and with the leadership and communication skills to allow you to work with academics and professional services colleagues to embed this in our curriculum.

If appointed on a Teaching Focused basis, you will have a national reputation for leading teaching and contributing to pedagogical debate. You will be able to demonstrate sector leading teaching practice and engagement with national and international pedagogical organisations and discussions.

If appointed on a Teaching and Practice basis, you will bring with you expensive experience and connections with industry. You will be able to demonstrate significant leadership impact on your field which may include invited talks, roles and contribution to key policy or professional groups or high level consultancy.
