Job Summary - ExeterMarine within the University of Exeter’s Centre Ecology and Conservation in Penryn, have a new opportunity for graduate to join their team. You will coordinate the communications, social media, and underpinning administration for ExeterMarine, and support the delivery of events. This is an excellent opportunity allowing you to gain experience within project and events management, and digital communications. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) Scheme and offers full-time hours (36.5 hours per week) and a 23-month contract. You will be based on Penryn Campus. About You – You should be a graduate preferably degree in in Marine Biology, Ecology, Conservation, Biosciences or related areas. You should be confident using Office 365 applications, especially Word and Excel, and have experience of effective use of social media, event organisation and of communicating with a wide range of audiences. You should be highly organised, have the ability to plan and prioritise own work, particularly when there are competing deadlines, and be able to work effectively under pressure and multi-task without compromising attention to detail. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a small team, be creative and innovative, have an understanding of marine research at the University of Exeter and be flexible and able to work a few evenings during the autumn term due to event hosting. You should have good IT skills, be able to work autonomously, without constant direct supervision but also able to recognise when to ask for guidance, be a problem solver with a can-do attitude and have a commitment to equal opportunities.
