With the introduction of the new University of Sydney Enterprise Agreement 2023-26, the University has committed to establishing and advertising new continuing education focused academic positions. These positions are designed for talented educators who are passionate about and have demonstrated excellence in teaching, curriculum design, educational practice and innovation, and research capability (in disciplinary and/or education-related research). This newly recruited group of educators are recognised internationally and within the university for their expertise in educational delivery and will support an uplift in the teaching capability and student experience at the University of Sydney.

The Associate Professor/ Professor in Digital Transformation and AI Management (Education Focused) dedicates most of their contribution to teaching and teaching-related activities (up to 70%), with a minimum of 20% research and 10% governance, service, and engagement. Additionally, they will mentor junior academics, advising on teaching methodologies, education research approaches, publications, and career advancement.
The role will drive pedagogical advancements, requiring commitment to research and scholarship in educational methodologies, technology, and pedagogical approaches within Business Information Systems to deliver high-quality educational experiences and outcomes, especially in our lifelong learning programs. It is geared towards scholars who are deeply engaged with teaching and learning and committed to playing a pivotal role in education leadership. The successful incumbent will participate in communities of practice with other education focused roles in the Discipline, School, and University.
