About the Position:
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and enhance the teaching and learning experience at LD Training. You will be responsible for driving pedagogical excellence, reporting on academic progress, championing the CREATE framework, and carrying out observations and action plans to ensure high standards of teaching.
Key Responsibilities: -
- Delivering Teaching & Learning strategy and pedagogical excellence
- Teaching & Learning Pedagogy and Staff Development (including Observations and Action Plans)
- Reporting to Senior Management Team on all activities.
General Responsibilities: -
Pedagogical Excellence
- Serve as the primary point of contact for teaching and learning inquiries from staff, students, and external partners.
- Represent the organisation at relevant conferences, workshops, and professional associations.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate it into teaching and learning initiatives.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and methodologies that enhance learning outcomes.
- Provide professional development and training for staff on best practices in pedagogy.
- Ensure alignment of teaching methods with institutional goals and standards.
- Stay informed about educational regulations and best practices to maintain high standards of quality.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Staff Support and Development
- Conduct regular classroom observations to assess teaching quality and adherence to pedagogical standards.
- Provide constructive feedback to staff based on observations, identifying areas for development.
- Mentor and support staff in their professional growth and instructional practices by overseeing action plans.
- Organise and facilitate workshops, seminars and training sessions focused on teaching and learning.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative teaching culture within the organisation, including the oversight of informed research practice and sharing subject specialisms (e.g. blogs, papers).
- Ensure all teaching and learning activities comply with institutional policies and accreditation standards.

Champion the CREATE framework
- Drive the implementation of the CREATE framework across all academic programmes.
- Promote the values and principles of the CREATE framework to staff and students.
- Evaluate the impact of the CREATE framework on teaching and learning, making adjustments as needed.
Academic Progress Reporting
- Monitor and report on student academic progress, ensuring accurate and timely data collection.
- Analyse academic performance data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports for senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning programs, using data to drive continuous improvement.
- Implement innovative solutions to enhance the educational experience and outcomes.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement among staff and students.
Basic Minimum Requirements
- Educated to Bachelors degree or equivalent or proven professional work experience
- Postgraduate degree highly desirable
Key Skills Set
- Previous experience of working within HE delivery environment, Teaching & Learning or Trainer the Trainer
- Knowledge of staff development and use of action plans
- Understanding of teaching pedagogy and best practice
Person Specification
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Polite, helpful and confident manner
