The University of Roehampton is recruiting to the role of Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our developing research team. This is an exciting time to our team as we play a key role in developing preference tools for young people to use in counselling and psychotherapy.
This role is ideal for someone who has experience of research methods and administration, thrives on delivering excellence, and takes pride in their ability to multitask. The successful candidate will coordinate the design and delivery of a project that will develop a preference tool (based on the Cooper-Norcross Inventory of Preferences) for use in counselling and psychotherapy with young people. The research project is funded by the BACP.
Key responsibilities will include taking responsibility for project administration, coordinating work with other colleagues to share ideas and contribute to the academic aims of the project, and contributing to the quality assurance and enhancement of the project. The successful candidate will have skills and experience in working with a range of people, including academics; experience of research methods relevant to the subject area; experience of supporting collaborative research that has resulted in published work of high quality; demonstrable understanding of administration systems and the experience to lead and manage administrative issues; excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
