The opportunity:
Childlight, a groundbreaking global child safety institute, has been established and embedded within the University of Edinburgh to take a data driven, evidence-based approach to better understand the prevalence and nature of child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA) globally. This data and analysis will be used by policy makers and practitioners across the world to make better informed decisions to safeguard children.
Childlight is looking to appoint a Web Development and Application Specialist responsible for consulting on, designing and delivering a number of key Childlight operational and public-facing web applications. The role requires working with the Childlight research teams globally to construct key Childlight projects including our Into The Light global CSEA prevalence index, and developing and maintaining the Childlight website and intranet.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and fixed-term until 30 April 2028. However, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. It will be based at the University of Edinburgh, though we are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote (within the UK) and regular on-campus working.
