About the Role
Leeds City College is recruiting 2 Engineering Teachers/Assessors to join our team. This is a brilliant opportunity to join our expanding community of talented, committed and inspirational colleagues. Working in a dynamic, values-led organisation, this role is for those who are passionate about development and innovation within a lively college community.
As an Engineering Teacher at Printworks Campus, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of engineers. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering high-quality, engaging teaching sessions. You will design and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience and ensure that students are well-prepared for careers in various engineering fields.
In addition to teaching, you will be expected to contribute to the development of the engineering curriculum, ensuring it remains current with industry trends and technological advancements. This includes designing new course materials, updating existing ones, and participating in curriculum review processes.
Overall, this role requires a committed individual with a passion for engineering education, a commitment to student success, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, industry partners, and the broader community.
What You Will Do
The focus of this role is to be available to visit the workplace and assess apprentices studying the Engineering Apprenticeship standards. You'll complete all administrative work connected with the assessments and apprenticeships and provide prompt and constructive feedback to candidates soon after assessment.
About You
You should be qualified to Level 3 or above in Engineering (Mechatronics or Mechanical) and have some experience in working within the Engineering Industry. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about their subject and has a demonstrable commitment to using their expertise to create an excellent teaching and learning experience for our learners.
You don't need to be a qualified assessor or teacher - we will support you in achieving the necessary qualifications. We just ask that you are motivated by helping others to learn, and that you really want to make a difference to people's lives.
