An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for 3 x Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our Finance team. This is a fantastic role for a strategic thinker with a passion for delivering meaningful insights and financial operational excellence within a strong internal control environment.
About the role
Reporting to the Director of FP&A, and collaborating closely with the Executive you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of financial planning, reporting, and analysis at the University.
In this senior role, you will lead the development of key financial analytics, including advancing and implementing IBM TM1 Planning Analytics in collaboration with the project team. Your insights and analysis will drive key themes, projects, and future initiatives across the institution, delivering impactful results.
Additionally, you will support the creation of a robust FP&A function within the Finance Directorate, providing high-quality technical and analytical support and issue resolution, while continuously improving processes to enhance operational efficiency. You will be responsible for managing a team of FP&A analysts, enhancing the University’s FP&A capabilities by supporting with the development of the team’s expertise in analysis, reporting, and systems.
About you
The successful candidate for this post will be a fully qualified member of a recognised accounting professional body, and will have extensive post-qualification project accounting experience, preferably within the Higher Education sector.
With direct management responsibility for a team of FP&A Analysts, you will also be required to build strong working relationships with business partners and senior leaders across the University, therefore leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to influence and build credibility and deliver impact at all levels is essential.
With a strong commercial awareness and a clear understanding of key business drivers, you will possess a proven track record in working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team, providing financial leadership, support and challenge.
These posts are full-time (35 hours per week, Monday- Friday) and open-ended (permanent). Relocation assistance will be provided where appropriate.
