The role
The Whitcomb research group is focused on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of brain stimulation, and how they can be applied in a therapeutic setting. This is a BRACE-funded Specialist Technician role, to provide technical support for an in vivo brain stimulation study in laboratory rodents.
What will you be doing?
The post-holder will be responsible for preparing brain tissue samples and carrying out experimental techniques from the in vivo experiments. Specialist techniques to be used include immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence and SDS-PAGE Western blotting
You should apply if
You have extensive neuroscience-based laboratory expertise, with experience of having worked with laboratory rodents. You should also possess excellent organisational skills to enable you to manage your workload effectively to ensure efficient execution of the project goals.

Shift pattern: 17.50 hours per week / 0.5FTE
