Working in the the Cambridge Centre for Gallium Nitride, the successful candidate will perform research on the infiltration of other materials into pores in semiconducting nitride thin films.
They will prepare manuscripts for publication and present the results in national and international conferences.
The role will support and maintain the University's national and international reputation for excellence in research. The successful candidate might assist with grant administration and the writing of reports for funding bodies and will participate in the broader activities of the Cambridge Centre for Gallium Nitride (research group)
The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field (e.g. materials science; chemistry; physics; electrical engineering) and will have a track record of publication in peer-reviewed international journals, together with good communication skills. They will have experience of both team-based and independent working.
The position is for 18 months in the first instance with an ideal starting date of 15 November 2024.
The role is for 0.5 FTE with a flexible working pattern, to be agreed with the successful candidate.
