The origins of Harris Manchester College, Oxford stretch back to the 18th-century dissenting academy tradition and this open spirit continues today. Admitted as a hall of the University of Oxford since 1990, and full Collegiate member since 1996, we are proud to be the only College focused exclusively on mature students. The College has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and an inclusive ethos, and pursues the highest standard of academic teaching, learning, and research, all within a supportive environment.

They should be able to balance the needs and interests of students, fellows and staff and have a deep affinity with the mission and ethos of the College. Strong organisational acumen is essential to oversee the College’s effective development and administration. The incoming Principal will be required to develop, communicate and implement a shared strategic vision for the College.
