Shift times are 8:30am-5pm (TBC with successful candidate)

Our nurses are expected to cover one weekend shift per month on average, paid as overtime.

The opportunity:

At the Hospital for Small Animals we have a dedicated team of anaesthesia nurses working within our state of the art teaching and referral hospital. You will be immersed in a range of interesting and inspiring cases through our surgery suites, imaging services, and recovery area. At the HfSA, we are open to emergencies 24/7 and offer a friendly and supportive working atmosphere, with a strong tradition of research and innovation. We value our team of nurses highly, offering excellent education and development opportunities.

Our nurses are expected to cover one weekend shift per month on average, paid as overtime. Additional overtime and on-call opportunities are also available.

We welcome all enthusiastic qualified registered veterinary nurse candidates to apply as we have a full training programme for all new team members where you will work alongside our skilled staff across the hospital while you learn the ropes.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Must be an RCVS registered veterinary nurse (RVN)
  • Excellent organisational and communications skills are essential
  • Keen dedication to teaching the next generation of veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses is a must.
