We are looking for a Research Technician who will provide specialist technical support to the scientific Programmes and projects of the MRC Brain Network Dynamics Unit that use animals as part of their research on the brain. The post holder will be required to play a central role in the daily organisation and smooth running of the Biomedical Services Facility (BSF) of the MRC Unit. 

The post holder will join the MRC Unit’s BSF Core Support team, and will be based at the Unit’s main site on Mansfield Road. The BSF Core Support team works closely and collaboratively with all of the MRC Unit Programmes and projects that use animals as part of their original research into the function and dysfunction of brain circuits. The MRC Unit Programmes and projects employ innovative electrophysiological, imaging, anatomical, behavioural and genetics-based techniques to address their respective scientific aims. The post holder will be encouraged to explore opportunities for Continuing Professional Development.

This post is part time and fixed term for 3 years in the first instance.
